ABOUT THE COURSE
TET Exam 2019 (Teacher Eligibility Test 2019) could be a compulsory examination in all Indian states for recruitment of teachers at primary and middle-level categories in government faculties. However, it’s only 1 of the eligibility necessities. Candidates ought to fulfill the overall eligibility criteria laid down by the respective faculties for selection of TET Exam 2019.
The examination is conducted at each central and state levels. The minimum eligibility for showing within the examination is graduation and degree/diploma in Elementary Education. The examination is conducted yearly, doubly a year, or once in 2 or 3 years on the basis of vacancies accessible for teaching posts in government faculties.
The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Exam 2019) is conducted at 2 levels:
1. Central level
2. State level
The exam conducted at Central level is known as the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and those conducted at the state level are called Teacher Eligibility Test with state name as Prefix. For instance; Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET), Punjab TET, Himachal Pradesh TET (HP TET), etc.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted in two levels
Paper 1: Primary Level (Class 1 to 5) for the primary teacher (PRT)
Paper 2: Upper Primary Level (Class 5 to 8)
Note: If a candidate wants to apply from Class 1 to 8 s/he will have to qualify both the papers.
CTET/TET eligibility criteria for Paper 1
Senior Secondary or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks and two-year Diploma in Elementary education/Four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/Special Education
CTET/TET eligibility criteria for Paper 2
Graduate in any discipline (B.A./B.Com/B.Sc) and a Two-year diploma in Elementary Education/Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/Four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/Four-year B.Sc. Education or B.A. Education
EXAM PATTERN
TET QUALIFYING CRITERIA

It is necessary to secure at least 60% marks in Teacher’s Eligibility Test in order to declared qualified. Those applicants who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD and other reserved communities may get the relaxation in qualifying marks as per the norms of examination organizations. The conducting bodies of examination may decide the different qualifying marks for different state level TET Exams.

In the recruitment process, those applicants who secure higher marks will get the preference. All the schools and educational institutions give weightage to TET Scores in the final selection process. To secure highest marks in Teacher’s Eligibility Test would not grant the right on any candidates for appointment. There are various other factors which are considered while appointing a candidate on the position.
