ABOUT THE COURSE

CAT

CAT 2023 exam date is November 24, 2024. IIMs will conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 exam on the last Sunday of November 2024 in two sessions. IIM-CAT 2024 is the MBA entrance exam for admission to 20 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other highly ranked and internationally recognized top MBA colleges in India. The CAT 2023 Registration and application process will begin in the first week of August, 2019 and will remain open for more than 45 days. CAT is now conducted as  a computer based test.  More than 2 lakh candidates appear in CAT exam  every year.

 

The Application fee for the CAT 2023 exam is revised upwards to Rs. 2000/- from earlier Rs.1900/-. There is no separate application fee to apply for any of the 20 IIMs. 

 

CAT exam is considered as the mother of all MBA entrance exams. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 remains the biggest MBA entrance test in India leading to admission to more than 5500 seats in all the 20 IIMs including IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow.

 

Apart from the 20 IIMs, hundreds of top MBA colleges including FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, JBIMS Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IITs, IMT, IMI, XIMB, TAPMI and others also accept CAT score as their key admission criteria.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age Criteria

  • There will be no age restriction for taking the CAT examination.

 

Qualification Criteria

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have a bachelor’s or its equivalent degree.

  • Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% marks for SC/ST/PwD categories).

  • Appearing candidates of the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.

  • Candidates, those possess an equivalent examination recognized by the MHRD, Government of India (including AMICE of the Institution of Civil Engineers (India) as an equivalent qualification) can also apply.

EXAM PATTERN
  • Exam Mode: The examination will be digital or Computer Based Test (CBT).

  • Session: The examination will be held in two sessions.

  • Duration: The duration of the examination will be 180 minutes (3 hours).

  • Type of Questions: In the examination, objective & subjective type questions will be asked.

  • Number of Questions: Total 100 questions will be asked in the examination.

  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, three marks will be allotted to the candidates.

  • Negative Marking: The will be no negative marks for subjective type questions, For MCQs type question, one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

ABOUT THE COURSE

MAT

 

The Management Aptitude Test, commonly known as MAT, is one of the leading entrance examination for MBA aspirants. The number of Business Schools accepting MAT scores for their Management programs is huge. Another attribute for the immense popularity of MAT is that it facilitates the students with an opportunity to be able to choose their mode of writing the exam, which could be either paper or computer-based.

MAT is conducted by AIMA, 4 times annually, in the months of May, September, December and February. The paper-based exam is to be conducted on the 17th of Feburary 2023, whereas the date for the computer-based test is also on the 23rd of February 2023. Graduates from any discipline, along with final year graduation students are eligible to apply for MAT 2023. Though, every Management Institute has a different prerequisite for the graduation scores required.

MAT 2023 will assess the aspiring candidates across 5 sections, that include, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment.

Permission to carry any kind of assisting tools like calculators, mobiles or other electronic gadgets, is not granted. To excel in MAT 2023, it’s important for the candidate to have a strong grip on his/her general aptitude across different parameters. The candidates need to devise a comprehensive strategy, that will help them to attempt maximum topics with the least amount of time.

The candidates must start preparing at the earliest and indulge in extensive reading of up to snuff materials, like newspapers and e-books. Also, they should solve a lot of sample questions and mock tests, to gain familiarity with MAT 2019, while keeping a careful track of time.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

AIMA prescribes the eligibility criteria for MAT 2023. Candidates must fulfill the following parameters before filling the application form-

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or Institute.

  • Final year graduation students can also apply for MAT. However, they have to submit documents as proof of completion of graduation within the prescribed time.

  • There is no age limit prescribed to appear for MAT.

ABOUT THE COURSE

XAT 2024 will be conducted on Sunday, January 6, 2024. XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of XAMI. For more than 60 years XLRI is conducting XAT at all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. The XAT score is being used by more than 150 institutes for the admission.

XAT 2024 would be conducted across India in the following cities. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Management aspirants who wish to apply for XAT 2024 must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed by XLRI Jamshedpur.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or Institute. The minimum duration of the programme has to be three years.

  • Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply provided they complete the programme within the stipulated schedule, which is most likely to be by June 2024.

Age limit - There is no age limit to apply for XAT 2024.

XAT Eligibility for NRI/Foreign candidates - NRI or foreign national candidates have to apply through GMATscores.

  • XAT 2024 will be conducted in online mode.

  • XAT Question Paper is divided into 4 sections are Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge.

  • XAT Syllabus contains questions from Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making and General Knowledge.

  • Although there is no official XAT Syllabus that is declared by XLRI, it is generally based on past years’ pattern. 

XAT Paper consists of objective type questions and allotted 3 hours to attempt all questions.

  • XAT Cut off varies for different programs offered by different institutes.

  • The cutoff for XAT would include the minimum percentile to be scored by each candidate in the exam.

  • On the basis of XAT Cut off, candidates will be shortlisted for further GD, PI and Essay writing round.

SNAP

 

This is the Symbiosis National Aptitude Online Test takes place once in a year. The candidates who are aspiring to take admission in MBA / MSc (CA) / MSc (SS) Programmes can apply for SNAP 2023  conducted by Symbiosis International University. The exam will conduct to invite the application to join the 2023-24 academic session. First of all, candidates have to register for the exam to confirm their candidature. Moreover, in this exam registration fee is separate for SNAP and respective colleges where you are applying. Once the entrance exam is over, the qualified students will attend the GE-PIWAT process conducted by each of the institutes individually.   • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must complete their graduation degree from any recognized university.
